Junior Firefighters
Our junior firefighting program is an excellent program for young people who want to see what this job is all about. Once accepted into the program junior firefighters have the opportunity to train with the department and get hands on experience in the firefighting profession.
Pre-Requisits to Join:
- 15 - 17 years old
- Your parents must give consent and sign a release form
- 60-90 day probation (begins on their 1st official day)
- Probationary Period: start the intro program through training or class (can take up to one year) and completing daily duty lists while at the station
- Small application process
- Expected to show up for training (Wednesday nights from 6-10 pm)
- Show report card every grading period, you must be passing (if failing, you will be suspended until you are passing)
